Default Aptera Deposit Refunds

I clicked on the following link: http://www.apteraforum.com/attachmen...3&d=1259779500. A telephone number was given (626)449-3661 (thank you SEGsby)

I called the telephone and spoke to a very nice lady (don't remember her name). She is aware of Aptera as she has received calls about the refunds. Wells Fargo no longer has this previous custodial account nor any other account for Aptera. That memo was dated January 30, 2008. Too long ago. Apparently, our monies may be lost. I am going to start a list of people who have requested a refund, but haven't received it. I am not sure what to do with the list, but suggestions welcome. Thanks!

When I look at that link, I guess I am not seeing what Idealabs has to do with Aptera. I am not sure who to email or how to start an email. What does Idealabs have to do with Aptera. I'm not getting it lol

Idealab was the first seed investor of Aptera. Once the concept mk0 was proven with a mere $400k, they and others invested more. Idealab handled all the finances and HR/payroll for Aptera...for a nominal monthly fee. They had access to the money and I'm sure they issued all the final paychecks and severances. Idealab also held two board seats and their close friend was the chairman. They certainly "should" know where to send loyal depositors for a refund.

They "should" have known a lot of things, but they are unfortunately known for turning a blind eye. Many of the board members and executives of team B did not hold a reservation for the car they tried to manufacture so their commitment to refunds was always weak in my opinion. I sincerely hope every last deposit is timely refunded, but honestly you may need a lawyer. Idealab speaks lawyer.

Interesting... I find that quite telling. Too bad we only know about it now.

Thank you, TKaypro. I also find that information very interesting. I agree with SEGsby and I wish I knew about this sooner. I truly don't believe IdeaLab is going to be able to help us depositors, BUT one never knows until one tries.

Thanks!

As I said in the other post, this thread should be about trying to gather all the names of the people who are waiting to get their deposit back. You will have much better success if you have numbers. Use the other thread to get the names of those who said they are waiting. PM them and ask if you can post their name onto a list on the first post of this thread and also use the first post to ask for all names of those who are waiting. If this first post gets a significant number of names on it, you may have some luck putting pressure on someone to help. I not sure who or what, but numbers always seem to help.

I am on the same boat as all of you. I was promised a refund check by Oct/Nov 2011 by Aptera, but have not received my deposit back. I tried contacting my local Wells Fargo, and I just wrote an email today to IdeaLab. If I hear back from them, I'll keep you guys updated.

Put me on the list:
