Default Carnival of dysfunction

I heard some interesting news today- I am happy for the people that just left, I am sure they'll do well. For those that remain two phrases come to mind: Potemkin Village, and Stockholm Syndrome.

So....the end is getting closer. Read the news, I see the government in money trouble, why would they give any money to Aptera now? Their chance of surviving is slim to none unless some billionaire comes to the rescue. That gives me an idea, what about Apple Motors?, the Aptera would be the perfect fit, it looks like a car that Apple would design. Hey Steve Jobs (not steve that posts here), want to put your spin on a car of the future? one more huge feather in you cap?

Both are the outcome of fear based leadership.

Too funny. Back in 2008 I was sitting across the Aptera conference room table with 4 high-up guys from Apple corp HQ. They reached out to us and asked for a meeting. Someone, I believe Jason Hill who was sitting at the table asked "why are you here?" and they answered "because this [the typ-1] looks like a car that we'd design and..."

But of course, I handed all of that over to the 'professional team' and to read that story you'll have to wait for the book ;-)

Dang! So close!

Could you imagine if Apple had finished off this project with the deep pockets they have? OMG... so close...

Or... Apple now buys the whole shebang, PW sent packing, and Steve and Chris enshrined as the brains behind all the good ideas! Ha!

...and bring back the svelte 2e! I can dream can't I?!

So who's left?
Paul, Marques, Laura and a janitorial service?
And they are in yet another building that is too big for what they need.
