Aptera 2e chassis development testing with our ride-and-handling mule (PP8). The vehicle development team takes the 2e through a series of dynamic maneuvers including decreasing and constant radius turns, lane change maneuvers up modest grades, and acceleration through sand traps. Notice the data logger records lateral acceleration and speed through the course. Please note that the test vehicle does not feature the production intent motor.

I love the sound of the motor. Seems snappy and I'm not hearing any of the "shell groan" we've seen in earlier videos.

Too bad they did not have the lap timer working. Would be interesting to see if the driver improved over each lap.

Wonder why they indicate that it is not a production intent motor? Is this motor more or less powerful? Wonder what has changed that required them not to use the production intent motor on this test. If this video was taken October 19, 2009 then I wonder how this data went into the design of the new suspension components that certainly were designed by this time.
