Eventually Aptera will get $200,000 for their efforts.

"Attempts to reach Cerven today were unsuccessful."

Let's hope it actually happens. I also hope the X-prize committee publishes the raw data from the Argonne testing.

"So the German team TW4XP will get $400,000. ZAP of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Aptera of San Diego tied and will each get $200,000."

So Li-Ion will get to keep 1.7 mil if they really do follow through on the contract.

Thanks for posting this news -- I'm glad they are following through on their promise.

Its not a done deal yet. The Times failed to get the quote from the man in charge of the winnings. I would not doubt that Cerven is thinking of ways to renig on this deal. I hope I am wrong and they have changed their ways, but Li-Ion has a very shady past... and Zap is worse.

Oh Goodie! Team B (or rather, just the executives) can get paid for another month before closing the doors for good.

Shady is an understatement. EVs are the new way to scam money from the public and government.

Or rent on an empty building! The expensive miss-management options are.. well almost endless. Hay, I know.. let's buy them a couple of Lottery tickets. Then the speculation of how to blow it will last until the tickets number comes up.. empty.

sorry my rant
