This forum could go on and on with questions unanswered by Aptera's newsletter and management.

The blog "town hall" is going to be a PR disaster for Aptera. From my limited perspective, I don't see them being prepared or willing to answer the tough questions, and IMHO I don't think they have the skill set or thick skin to handle the flood of negative feedback that is headed their way.

I have a feeling they're going to be aggressively filtering content, limiting content to the easiest, least challenging questions.

I like what someone wrote recently -- "less talk, more car."
Virtualeric - I believe that your questions are way overboard. One would think that your were an investor in the company.

And... Where will you build the vehicles that will be going to customers in the near future?

With your current funds, how long can you continue to operate?

Are you finished, for now, making changes to the design?

and how about... Are you planning on selling off any of your test mules?

Default Aptera Forum Spokes Person

Surely and hour is not enough time to answer 100+ questions from that many people or more. Shouldn't an "Aptera Forum Spokes Person" be elected? That would be a more efficient way to milk answers from the Aptera reps much like when they were touring around CA.

Default helpful (?) thoughts on questions

I would suggest that in the interest of getting useful information, y'all plan on asking questions you have a prayer of getting an answer for. Questions that are just thinly veiled attacks won't (and shouldn't) get answered.

Asking about executive compensation seems a little absurd. No way in heck would a privately held company answer that. Nor can I really see anyone reasonably expecting them to respond to any of the questions that virtualric posed.

Before you go to ask your question, ask yourself one... are you trying to get meaningful and useful information, are you just trying to make them look bad, or are you trying to vent your spleen? If the answer isn't the first one, then you're probably accomplishing nothing more than preventing someone else from at least attempting to get some useful tidbits.

Sadly, I'll be in the hinterlands of death valley during the town hall, so I'll miss the fun, but good luck to all on getting some good information!

I would ask if there will be an eight-track option available. I think it may be an option as important as cup holders, demographically speaking of course. Oh, and will there be color options for the charging cord? Go Green, Go Aptera!

Bah, you don't understand how Aptera works. It'll come with a *16-track*!

Surely we all know that an Aptera leaves a 3-track.

Who will be answering these "town hall" questions? If it's Marques, then the answers are canned answers. The engineers will have skooled him on how to respond to technical questions. He'll skool himself, i.e spin, on what to say for everything else. The internal "town halls" by Paul and Marques were excruciating. This one will be too. They better call in the HR guru Kathy to help out with organizing and herding the employees. Is she even still there? At 20 employees probably not. Maybe they will call her in only for the community event.
The only questions I have are about how this production car will perform. Will Marques print another "handout" with specs? Probably not, that costs too much money. The town hall is cheap and it’s not in writing. The xprize car might shine some light on performance, but it still won't be production. IMO, Aptera is still speculating on many areas while trying to be mysterious. They want to give just enough information to keep you interested. If they do that then the town hall will be a success.

Default My Questions.

I agree, the detailed questions about business planning, salaries and the like are unlikely to be answered and will only take up precious time. My desire is for Aptera to open up on performance specs and measures. They claim to have settled on batteries, body shell, suspension elements, and presumably power train, if not the entire design. So they should KNOW the following stats at least to 95% certainty. Revealing these numbers does not weaken their competitive position or give ammunition to their competitors, since all the other serious players are living in a different universe (4 wheel land). Therefore:
--Weight
--Power consumption per mile at various speeds, or at least say 55 mph and 65 or 70, or even one speed such as 65.
--Usable (recommended DOD) battery capacity
--Recharge times, at what voltages and currents?
--0-60 time
--A summary of key features
--Of course all of the above would be covered with an updated brochure.

Some further questions
--Why isn't the web site current? There is much obsolete information therein, whereas basics like old press releases and newsletters are missing.
--When may we expect at least renderings of the production version interior and exterior?
--When may depositors expect a test drive or at least a vehicle showing?
--When may we expect final pricing?
--And please stop insulting us with "soon".

Final Question:
--What does Aptera gain by secretive hoarding of information? Recognizing that the time for customer input has passed, targets need to be held steady, and the focus must be on finishing the job, shouldn't the team be allowed to celebrate goals, progress and accomplishments far and wide to maintain enthusiasm during these difficult times?
