Sounds like someone is fiddling with the site and messed up.

Saxony Creative never has seemed to grasp the concept of keeping live and development versions of a site.

That could be it.

Or it could be that they're using a back-end application server behind Apache that crashed or hung or otherwise become inaccessible and nobody's noticed.

Or it could be that a hard drive went away.

For production servers, it's good to have another system monitoring your web servers which sends alerts to the admin's cell phone(s) when the system goes down. I use monitoring software that does that. It even alerts me if the server load gets worryingly high.

The internet is complex. Things break. So it doesn't automatically mean that an entire company winked out of existence....

If it stayed down for a period of DAYS or WEEKS, that might mean something more significant occured. But it will probably be up later today, after they:

1. Discover the problem.
2. Fix the issue.

These links are automatically generated, do not read too much into that. BTW: could they deny it is a rendering of an Aptera??

OK, so the site is back up. It appears there are no changes. Nothing to see here folks, keep on moving... (and dreaming)...
