Default A complete program

He also notes that Renault is prepared to pre-set you up with a rental car program which will deliver a gas-powered car to your door for those occasional longer trips, as well as a fairly flexible charger scheme. The battery economics are still a hurdle; reducing the purchase cost (less battery) to "roughly equivalent" to a gas car of similar class ($20K) is all very well, but battery leasing runs about $160 a month which is as much as most people spend on gas, plus you still pay some additional cost for electricity. So you still have the drawback of short range without a net cost savings. But he did say it was nice-driving car.
