......I owned $1,000 USD in General Motors. General Motors went bankrupt. I lost my $1,000 USD Investment in General Motors. If General Motors would have issued me stock in the New General Motors from my old investment, I might even bought some more stock to show my support and to try to make some money as well. General Motors did not issue me new stock so I lost my whole investment of $1,000 USD in General Motors. I will NEVER invest in General Motors ever again!

If I got into to this type of trouble and I some how ended up still running the new company I would try and do as you suggest. It might take awhile and I might not be able to do the whole amount at once but at lease I would pay some amount to every outstanding debtor from time to time as I could. I'm a Yankee and I like to think a hand shake is my word. That still works up here in Vermont - some times...

In the old days they would just throw a defaulting business debtor in debtors prison and that would be that.

Hummmm... That statement just made me think of someone....

Except for MM there is no one from the original company left to distrust. I would still not place a deposit on the new Aptera until the first production vehicle is sold to a customer and I have the opportunity to sit in and test drive the Aptera USA vehicle. But that's just me.

I was also recommending to everyone on this site to get their deposits back just after the X-prize. It made no sense to me to leave money with PBW when you could just give it back later if they had managed to get a production car made.

Do I want Aptera USA to succeed? Oh yeah. I'd love to see them hit a home run and sell a couple million. Will they? Probably not. But I'm still here watching the progress.

After the Aptera Motors Inc. mess, I think everyone wants to see the Aptera 2e driving down the road before they put down their hard earn money on the table in the form of a deposit. I wonder why everyone does not believe that Aptera might sell Millions of Aptera 2e when the Aptera 2e is the best build car for saving fuel in the world. I think a lot of people would change their minds on Aptera when they found out how much money they will save on fuel cost.

Based on the info I've read, it sounds like the new company, ZAP, may have also purchased the depositors and money as part of the buyout. You might want to give ZAP a call and see if you can get any resolution that way.

If they were smart, they'd announce credit twards purchase for Aptera Deposit holders, at the very least. :P

I think that is there intent, but it sounds like they are having more problems than "Team B" getting stuff done...

I think that Aptera USA Inc. is not having a harder time getting stuff done than Aptera Motors Inc. "Team B." I think Richard Deringer of Aptera USA Inc. wants to spend all of Aptera USA Inc. time, money, energy, resources, materials and etc. trying to get the Aptera 2e for sale as soon as possible. I think that Richard Deringer of Aptera USA Inc. wants to let people know that the Aptera 2e is now for sale when he starts to communicate with the public. Anything else would seem like a bunch of hot air from "Team B" to him. I see Richard Deringer of Aptera USA Inc. point of view. However, I do disagree on his point of view on the communicating with the public issue. I believe it is very important and critical to try to keep the relationship between Aptera USA Inc. and the customers as strong and as faithful as back when Steve and Chris ran Aptera Motors Inc. before Paul Wilbur took control over and ran Aptera Motors Inc. into bankruptcy. Richard Deringer of Aptera USA Inc. should be posting every day on ApteraForum, FaceBook, Twitter, YouTube, Aptera Website and Etc. about the progress of Aptera Motors Inc. And most importantly, showing to the rest of the world that Aptera USA Inc. is still alive and is not going out of business. It would not take a lot of time and energy for Richard Deringer of Aptera USA Inc. to communicate to the public online. By keeping the relationship between Aptera USA Inc. and the customers as strong and as faithful as back when Steve and Chris ran Aptera Motors Inc. will really help Aptera USA Inc. sell Aptera 2e vehicles to the public to earn a profit to stay in business. If a company does not communicate with the company's stakeholders (Customers, Workers, Investors, Suppliers and the Public), the company will not stay in business for very long. Sorry for the long read.
