Car Wars: A New Hope

Hopefully the final car, if it ever gets out, looks as beautiful as the one that graces the top of this site.

I hate having to agree with you on this one. However, if anything actually gets on the road it will probably be good in my humble opinion. Heck, I already lost my $500 gamble and so even if a bunch of FAT-SO-1s are running the roads some day, then I'll feel better about the money. Since I won't be buying one then perhaps I'll at least get a ride some day.

I hope that Aptera USA has the new webpage up and running soon. I would love to see how it will look. By the way, could Aptera USA keep the old Aptera Motors Inc. website because the website was fully develop? Could they have also kept the website by changing the name from Aptera to Aptera USA?

I don't think so. Its being done in Drupal which is software I never even heard of until a few minutes ago. I'm no expert programmer but based on the Wikipedia reference below I would say they are pretty much starting from scratch.

Quote:
Drupal ( /ˈdruːpəl/) is a free and open-source content management system (CMS) and content management framework (CMF) written in PHP and distributed under the GNU General Public License.[2][3][4] It is used as a back-end system for at least 1.5% of all websites worldwide[5][6] ranging from personal blogs to corporate, political, and government sites including whitehouse.gov and data.gov.uk.[7] It is also used for knowledge management and business collaboration.

Thanks. I think Aptera USA is building a brand new web site for Aptera USA instead of using the old Aptera Motors Inc. to show and prove to the world that Aptera USA in a brand new venture trying to build and sell the Aptera 2e. At least, they are learning from the mistakes of the past.

I have not searched the Apteraforum for the discussion, but I clearly remember bashing their former web site and the company they hired to do the work. It was horrible. (Sorry Steve...)
