That last line is pretty funny.
"they have some time to work on it, they just need some money to work on it." Sounds like every home conversion problem, they either have the time or the money.

As far as I know, 195mpge was in the lab, not on the pavement.
Real-world pavement figures were posted as 167mpge and 179 not the 195 they're claiming
Aerodynamics has never been verified in a real wind tunnel
The steering "effort" complaint is because the car gained 700lbs from the Fambro version

I see a company burning through development money instead of sinking it into the car. I saw that at Xprize and it continues.

I'm guessing they'll die on the vine without a big gov. loan.

Bummer video. Sometime in 2012? Power steering? Electric brakes? Would you need power steering if the car didn't gain so much weight? What happened to this car?

.. for (NOT) power steering - how about slightly more leverage on the steering arms by making them slightly longer and pump up the front tires..
.. better braking...larger master cylinder and same thing ...more brake pedal arm..

In defense of the X-Prize coastdown tests (which is presumably the confirmation of the Cd on the Aptera?) is that the number from the coastdown test at Chrysler is within 2% of the GM wind tunnel number for the Edison2. And that is the "new" SAE method -- which gives a higher Cd than the old method.

Default CNN business on Aptera

A little video, presumably shot in Princeton. No new facts here, but I still love seeing this vehicle!

It's great news that the Aptera was shown on CNN. I hope it'll make investors friendlier.
