Default If Aptera was bought by a major automaker, who would you want it to be?

I was thinking about the conversations of late as to who I would like to see snatch up Aptera if all the recent doom and gloom predicitons on the forum were to manifest. My first thought would be Mazda. I was just looking at their site, and they really don't seem to be making a concerted effort to develop an all electric vehicle. I had '93 Protege and drove it into the ground after almost 12 years of hard driving. It was a well built tough car. I wonder if they could translate that to an all-electric vehicle. Anyone else have a suggestion for a "big" player you would like to see snatch up the Aptera concept if it came to that?

Subaru would be my choice, and would like to see them focus on AWD electrics, since they do that so well.

I assume nobody's going to suggest GM.

They closed all their service in CA a while back so I doubt they are doing well.

I have known several people who had Subarus, all would not do so again because of the great expenses incurred for repairs.

I vote for Toyota- IMHO, they have the highest quality cars out there today. I have had many, and each was built like a brick outhouse. Second choice is Honda- they know a lot about building lightweight cars that last.

Interesting. I know people who won't buy a car except Subaru because of great previous experiences dating back to 1980. Subaru after Subaru ran fine for >200K miles with hardly a repair.

Toyota, they like small and efficient and they would embrace the concept styling without fear.
