Because my wife and I have varying schedules and I'm thinking about getting one of these little sportsters. They look like a blast!
They're designing both flavors; EV and hybrid. My primary concerns though are just how safe can one be in a bodyshell that narrow
Also, the rear track looks kinda narrow too. All the vids I've seen of the Carver have been on smooth surfaces. I wonder what would happen of you are turning at a decent rate of speed and you hit a big bump with the inside wheel? Wheel it tip over??
Anyway it looks like a nice vehicle to have sitting next to the Aptera. They're supposed to be in production around the same time as the Aptera as well.
What do you all think? Yay, or nay?

I think they're sweeet! I've been watching those for awhile.
I saw some pretty good videos on Youtube, I think.
Some English dude was test driving it, doing a video mag.
He was whipping it back and forth, and showed it leaning 45deg.sitting still.
It leans more depending on how aggressive you drive.
I love the tilting aspect. (My whole intro to 3wheelers began with my Dad's Unisport in '74).
I do prefer the, 2 in front, 1 in back configuration; but this is cool enough to change my mind.
The tandem seating is a bummer . If you're mostly by yourself, it doesn't matter though.;)

Yeah the VentureOne would be mostly just for me to commute to work when my wife takes the Aptera by herself. Being a former karter/autocrosser I like what the VentureOne has to offer. Lots of fun cornering ahead!
Would I like two Apteras? You bet. Even the rumored four wheel - five seater in the works. Well I can't wait that long for that anyway.
But the VentureOne is said to weigh in at $10K less than the Aptera so that's a plus. I'm on their registration list but that doesn't mean anything. I wonder when they will start taking orders.....

I don't see too much point to having both vehicles -- they kind of seem to fill the same niche. I'd much rather get a Typ-1e and then, later, the talked-about 5-seater Typ-2 (assuming it follows the same design principles of the Typ-1 -- aerodynamic, lightweight, futuristic body, electric drivetrain, etc).

Good point; however my wife and I can find ourselves commuting seperately 90+ miles 3-4 days a week, depending on the week. One of us will still end up using a vehicle that gets about 18mpg, so the VentureOne might be a good fit for us along side the Aptera.
The next project (5 passenger/ 4 wheels) might not be for a few years, plus it stands to be considerably more expensive I would venture:p to guess.
