If I google "Aptera Forum" I get a headline advertising cheap viagra. Is this true for everyone else? Has the forum been hacked? Has PW had his IT people get revenge on the forum? Just wondering...

haha thats very creative, but not sure if it really helps their cause. I'm sure the folks at Pfizer did not do it, but some reseller. Or as you said, just some hacker who is doing it just for fun. I wonder how long it has been this way?

otherwise the links look good (goes to apteraforum) and the forum data seems clean. Just somehow somebody replaced the cached site information at Google.

Currently, we can ban spammers faster than they can make accounts and post ads. Plus, we remove Avatars and taglines. I also flag youtube spam when I find links from our 'guests'-- so youtube can remove the offending videos. :D

I think the strategy is starting to really bug the spammers. The awesome thing is, they're giving me new keywords to search and ban old spam accounts with. :)

Muahahahahaha. :D

I wonder how long it has been this way?

I noticed it on my work computer because, being work, I didn't create a favorite shortcut and have always just googled the forum. It first showed up about ten days ago. :confused: I thought that maybe that computer had caught some spyware so I didn't mention it until today when I googled the forum on my home computer and saw the same thing.

I googled just 'aptera' and got the viagra link too. Does aptera have to fix this? If so, the public will be waiting a long time.

It wont last. :) I'm slowly cleaning up the "buy x-drugs here" signatures in old and new banned accounts.
