I didn't get that e-mail. Was it only sent to people who actually reserved an Aptera?

I just found my email in the junk bin(spam filter almost got me:eek: )
It was cool to finally hear something. Looks like they wanted to have something worth reporting.
Nice work Aptera

I almost missed this as well because it ended up in my spam folder (thanks yahoo). This is everything I hoped the newsletter would be. Full of useful information on where they stand.

I got mine twice today, almost three hours apart. What a joy it was to see in my inbox when I got home from work today. Text, pictures, and a new video! Thanks Team Aptera just what we were looking for.:)

Look in the upper right corner of their home page. If you're not sure if you're signed up, try resubmitting. I got a confirmation back when I tried adding my email a second time.

It seems like it was a little slow getting to me. I apparently signed up for the newsletter from each of my e-mail addresses. >_<
Cool beans!

I like the tour video.
Oh yeah it solves a former unknown: The guy states in no uncertain terms Aptera has heating AND a/c.

My wife is still leery LOL You'll soon have my 500!
Manufacturing starts now
* building the first Aptera store
I hope they are also looking at alternatives, like selling through existing dealerships. I'd rather they spend their venture capital on expanding sales to the rest of the world instead of building brick and mortar storefronts.
....
That said, I propose some equally stunning architecture, like a geodesic dome made using their own composite processes! :D
(Buckminster Fuller is surely smiling down on Aptera Motors. They are making the Dymaxion car he always wanted to build.)

That was a well needed shot in the arm!
The "Production phase" statement is what I most needed to hear.
Although all the press showings/ x-prize stuff is important from a publicity standpoint, all I care about is how soon Aptera starts delivering cars. And this newsletter is the first piece of info that really made me smile since I first found out about the Aptera :)
"965 Apteras to be built in the fall......965 Apteras to go......build one NOW, drive it around..............964 Apteras to go, hurry now!!!"
(my theme song!)
:D :D :D

At 1:37, is that a cutaway of one of the panels? It's not honeycomb, but it does appear to be a combination of diamond and grid reinforcement. They're talking about the use of composites at the time.

yeah, it seems a nice match if they go into Smart Car dealerships...they are also new and have opened up retail stores across the country...just rent out a corner and keep a car there...will be much cheaper than opening their own store fronts across the US...

I didn't have access to UTube at work. Now that I have a chance to look at the video at home. It looks like fiberglass with a screen or grid of carbon fiber sandwitched in between as reinforcement.

Looking at this photo of Chris Anthony (from Aptera website). It looks like Chris is laying fiberglass cloth and a peice of core material with pre-reinforced lattice of carbon fibers in the mold.
