I was wondering if anyone else had noticed this in the Newsletters.

SteveF had been working on the 4 seater version ("advanced projects"), and so was no longer involved in the Typ2 development.

Then all people were layed off (or furloughed) unless they were working on one of several key projects. One of those key projects was the 4 seater project.

Am I the only one seeing a discrepancy between these two statements? Or is this just more Wilbur-esque truth?

Wilbur-esque "truth" (see: white lies) at its best. Whatever the reason, Wilbur wanted Fambro & co. out. I'm guessing it was either to sabotage the company, or to take control himself because of his Detroit mentality. I'm sure Fambro noticed that and fought back- but Wilbur convinced the board otherwise. And this is what happens.

I think projects is the whole problem, Aptera is starting to believe their own hype and rather than shipping a product they want to continually start new projects and never finish anything...lol
