Did Aptera Get a Govt Grant?

I don't know if you heard the news today, but the Govt is giving $2.4 billion in federal grants to develop next-generation electric vehicles and batteries.

I know the big three got money, but what about little old Aptera?

Article in Washington Post makes this particular set of grants seem to be focused on manufacturers of battteries. Other grants or loan programs may be available to Aptera (or not as discussed elsewhere)

Of course some of the recipients may be suppliers of components (batteries, EV drivetrain components, etc.) to Aptera so perhaps they get some indirect benefit.

I live in CA District 10 where tonight John Garamendi prevailed among Democrats in a special election to replace Congresswoman Ellen Tausher who took the job of Undersecretary in the State Dept. under Clinton. He will face the leading republican in November and is sure to win in this predominately democratic district. I congratulated John tonight at his headquarters in Walnut Creek and showed him an 8x10 Aptera Photo while explaining the vehicle to him. He seemed very interested and asked to keep the photo(it's the one with the man in dark glasses standing next to the Aptera with the Vons Grocery bag at his feet). I also e-mailed Aptera this info. It would be nice if Garamendi could get Aptera some start up funds or a loan for large scale production. magnru #2783h
