This probably isn't "new" news, but it's the first time I've heard mention of the name Aptera in several months...http://www.cnn.com/2009/TECH/06/23/tesla.electric.cars/index.html. It's brief and way down at the bottom, but at least we know they are still working hard to deliver these cars.

I must say that I am a little disappointed that Tesla is already receiving money to get their sedan on the road by 2011. The car looks like it will be just as over priced as the roadster. I do understand that they are getting the money because their sedan looks more traditional. I'm sure the government still isn't sold on the futuristic styling of the Aptera.

Tesla is further along than Aptera; they already have their first model in full production. That means they've retired risk.

Also, it's four wheels, which is a nasty regulatory sticking point that always makes me grumble.

On the Aptera website, the RSS feed points to a web serviced provider in the midwest named Atpera... Look at the bottom of the Aptera web page: "How Tweet It Is: ... "

It's at the very bottom in the middle of Aptera's site. You'll see the orange RSS icon.

Hi Lisa,

It is a 2 seat, 3 wheel, highly efficient vehicle. I would imagine that mostly the 2e (all electric version) will be used for commuting for the most part. They plan a 2h model (which will be a serial hybrid) that will have a very long range on a tank of fuel, so it would be easier to travel long distances.

In the future, we have been told they will have a 4 series -- 4 seat, 4 wheel cars. We only know that it will look like an Aptera i.e. there will be a strong family resemblance.
