Its actually Mike Quincy from Consumer Reports that makes the "long-tail-pipe" argument and even he hedges by saying its only areas with Coal plants that are a problem. Little disappointed Consumer Reports is clueless on this issue.

Just where does John McCain get this 300 million dollers he plans to give the inventor of this new battery technology? Is this his personal wealth? I'll bet he assumes he is getting elected and it's our tax money. Sounds like a bribe to get votes to me.

You're right. I errantly believed that Fox News himself came out and delivered the statement. I should be more careful with attributing quotes to Mr. News. ;)
